Recently, an open container train carrying 3,712 tons of iron ore successfully departed from the South Railway Line of the South Freight Yard of Yuanhang International Company, heading for Ningxia Huinong Station. This marks the official operation of the company's third open container loading line, achieving a new breakthrough in the construction of the "road-to-rail" and "bulk to container" dual demonstration bases.
Since 2019, the company has actively implemented the national requirements for transportation structure adjustment, promoted the green and low-carbon development of key operation links in a coordinated manner, vigorously advanced the "road-to-rail" and "bulk to container" transformation, and continuously improved the clean transportation level of bulk goods such as iron ore.
It is understood that the company has a total of 13 railway tracks, with an annual designed handling capacity of approximately 50 million tons. It mainly serves the cargo port clearance needs of steel enterprises in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei and other places. From January to September this year, the company's railway port clearance cargo accounted for 55% of the total clearance volume, achieving the goal of a monthly railway dispatch volume share exceeding 50%.
It is reported that the company has previously carried out open container loading operations on two railway tracks, with a daily loading capacity of approximately 20 trains, mainly dispatched to stations such as Hui Nong Station in Ningxia and Wu 'an Station in Hebei. The newly launched open container loading service on the South Railway Line of the South Freight Yard can help the company further enhance its open container loading operation capacity by nearly 40%.
